Pet Dress

Fashion

From PetOffice, a web pet boutique based in Japan, outfits for your domesticated animals.

pop_kaeru.jpgThe cat outfits are priceless - you can dress your feline friend up as a frog (shown here), a rabbit, chicken, ram or leopard. Or Anne of Green Gables! Some of the cats pictured in their outfits look terrified, actually it's mostly one white cat that seems shell-shocked, perhaps by the onset of multi-animal identity disorder syndrome. 日本語 or English.

For dogs, there's ワンワンプリン, only in 日本語, and with fewer fun clothes! No doggy-chicken dress-up, must be because dogs have a more serious bearing? You can get your dog a little necktie though:

This is some priceless stuff. Thank you for sharing, Justin!

While the company may be Nipponspecific, the phenomenon is not. I actually bought a "la princessa" outfit for my little one last year at Halloween.

服やかぶりものを着せるのは、動物好きにとっては複雑な心境ですよね。でも、やっぱりかわいい...以下のサイトも圧巻です。はい。

It speaks volumes about the dispositions of cats vs. dogs that all the dogs seem perfectly at peace while the cats look as though they're on the verge of a murderous rampage for the indignity they're being subjected to. Especially the Anne of Green Gables kitty.

Little pigeons can carry great messages. (c)
