Chofu High Online

Education, Expats in Japan
From a Washington Post article about small web sites, a link to Chofu.org - "a site dedicated to helping alumni of Chofu High School reconnect with classmates from their defunct American school, which operated on a military base in Japan from 1964 to 1974." These folks look more purely North American than mixed or diverse, but they did some mingling with the locals according to pictures from a Nakano Pachinko parlour and bars in 1967.

I lived in Green Park in 1959, moved to Momote Village in 1960 and to Kanto Mura in 1962. I attended Grant Heights Elementary School(1959-1960), Chofu Jr. High (1961 & 1962) and Chofu High School(freshman in 1963-64), moved to the US in fall of 1964
Was at Chofu HS from '72-'74 and graduated from HS in '76 at Lanier HS in Austin, Texas. Currently in Round Rock, Texas with my HS sweetheart, Karol Ann. We have 7 kids between us in various stages of life: a Marine, a computer networking specialist, a surgical office assistant, an IRS worker, etc.
Am looking for a couple folks: Irving Wallace(?), an African-American who could draw action figures who looked like they were coming off the paper at you) and a tall, gorgeous red-head who could draw what we now call 'grotesques' - very large people eating massive quantities of food, etc.
Can reach me at hoppy@austin.rr.com.
Attended Chofu from in 73 and 74 and went on to ASIJ. Wondering if Mark Knowles is out there somewhere.
